Beautiful city with a mixed, Kurdish dominant population of perhaps 350,000…. The University of Dohuk has over 20,000 students….
Tell me you knew all this…. I didn’t….. I only know the many war images and bombed out cities we see here in the USA – We Americans have not been properly introduced to our neighbors.
Kurdish is completely unrelated to Turkish and Arabic, though it includes some loanwords from those languages. BUT if you’d like to learn some Kurdish – maybe this will help…..
